In the PADI Mermaid Instructor™ course, you’ll refine your PADI Mermaid™ skills and apply them to teaching others the wonders of the underwater world. You’ll learn the basics of how to design your own program, using the PADI teaching system. You earn a PADI Mermaid Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you’re rewarded with a job that lets you share incredible underwater adventures with others – transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours.

To enroll, you'll need:

• Be 18 years or older

• Hold the PADI Advanced Mermaid certification (or qualifying certification from another mermaid organization. )

• Waterskills: The ability to float comfortably and swim for a set distance without swim aids

• Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or have a qualifying certification) within the last 24 months

• Current medical statement signed by a physician within the previous 12 months

The Instructor Trainer course is offered by PADI once each year.

This prep course will build the foundation of a PADI Mermaid Instructor to succeed starting from the Instructor Trainer application process. Make sure you have the skills, resources, confidence, and support you'll need.
